Homecoming weekend events appear to have been very successful. We had a great turn-out for the School of Nursing’s 65th Anniversary Celebration Luncheon. I’m told that there were around 250 attendees on Thursday, October 11th.  Many alums stopped by the Archives’ exhibit table to reminisce with friends and to help identify photographs.  I even had two nursing alums from the class of 1983 stop in the Archives on Friday to continue looking through materials.  Both were very gracious and were a great help with identifying numerous classmates within our photos. I am pleased with the connections I was able to make at the luncheon and it was rewarding to be able to serve as the catalyst for sparking so many wonderful memories.

The exhibit and memory table would not have been possible without the help of Joan Hilger-Mullen, Curator for the Donald Kirk Piper MD Memorial Medical Museum at St. Joseph Hospital here in Kansas City, from School of Nursing Office Manager, Debra Bortnicker, and from our Public Relations Specialist, Bob Luder.  A special thanks to you all!
